The first quarter opens June 1 and closes August 1, with decisions finalized by the end of August. The second quarter runs from September 1 to November 1, the third quarter from December 1 to February 1, and the fourth quarter from March 1 to May 1. Each application cycle concludes at the end of its respective quarter, ensuring a continuous and timely review of funding requests.
Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to health improvement by maintaining and implementing a 100 percent tobacco-free policy. This requirement aligns with Owensboro Health’s broader mission to address significant health challenges in the region, particularly those linked to tobacco use. Organizations that do not have a tobacco-free policy are not eligible for funding.
Mini-grants differ from sponsorships, which are handled separately by Owensboro Health’s Marketing Department. Organizations seeking support for fundraising events should apply for sponsorship rather than a mini-grant.
