The Long Beach Community Foundation (LBCF) is offering the 2025 Community Impact Fund Grant to support organizations committed to addressing significant post-pandemic issues affecting youth and young adults in Long Beach, California. The foundation is a U.S.-based philanthropic entity that invests in the community through targeted funding initiatives. The 2025 focus of the Community Impact Grant is specifically on programs that aim to mitigate learning loss experienced during the pandemic and/or enhance the emotional and mental health of young people.
The Community Impact Grant is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government entities that are based in and serve the Long Beach area. All applicants must be in good standing with the IRS. Eligibility confirmation or questions about an organization’s status should be directed to the foundation via the provided email.
Grant awards range between $10,000 and $25,000 and are distributed based on the alignment of the application with the program’s goals. Proposals are reviewed by a Board-appointed Grants Selection Committee. In some cases, applicants whose submissions align strongly with the grant’s purpose may be asked for additional documentation or invited to participate in an interview. Each application must be complete and submitted by the deadline of Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 5 p.m. PST to be considered. An automatic acknowledgment is sent upon submission to confirm receipt.
Successful applicants will be notified of their award in August 2025. All grant recipients are required to submit a one-page final report detailing the expenditure of funds, impact of the funded program, beneficiaries served, and overall success. Furthermore, recipients must provide a testimonial or a form of public acknowledgment, such as tagging the foundation in social media posts using the provided handles.
Strict conditions accompany the disbursement of grant funds. Any modification to approved budget line items exceeding $1,000 or 10% must be pre-approved in writing. Additionally, changes to the project's scope or organizational leadership must be communicated to LBCF within 30 days.
