Subrecipients must also be capable of providing departure and reintegration services for noncitizens returning to their home countries. Only one grant, with a maximum of $15 million, will be awarded for this program, and the period of performance is set for 36 months, starting December 1, 2024, and ending November 30, 2027. Eligible subrecipients, such as local governments and nonprofit organizations, can apply for funding through the CMPP National Board, which is responsible for issuing subawards and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
Key application dates include the start of the submission period on October 22, 2024, and the deadline on November 21, 2024. All applications must be submitted through the FEMA Grants Outcomes (FEMA GO) system, with required documentation including standard federal application forms and a detailed work plan that outlines the process for subrecipient selection and oversight.
There are no cost-sharing requirements for this grant, but all applicants must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and must obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) to apply.
