Grant Description

The Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2025 is an opportunity provided by the U.S. Mission to Indonesia for alumni of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange programs. The fund aims to support alumni teams in implementing innovative projects addressing global challenges and strengthening bilateral cooperation between the United States and Indonesia. Eligible alumni teams must consist of at least two members who have participated in U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. U.S. citizen alumni may not submit proposals but can participate as team members. Projects must align with one of the following themes: economic development, environmental sustainability, protection of human rights, improvement of public health, community involvement in peace, security, and governance, or prevention of terrorism and radicalization. Activities must take place outside of the United States and its territories. The award amount ranges from $5,000 to $35,000, with a period of performance lasting up to 12 months. The program anticipates starting no earlier than August 1, 2025, and concluding by July 30, 2026. Proposals must clearly articulate goals, objectives, methods, and a realistic timeline. Applicants are required to submit a project summary, a monitoring and evaluation plan, a budget using the designated template, and a communication strategy. Proposals must be submitted in English, and the budget must be presented in U.S. dollars. Proposals will be evaluated on criteria such as relevance to the program theme, clarity and feasibility of the project design, alumni involvement, local partner engagement, sustainability of impact, and quality of the budget and narrative justification. A strong monitoring and evaluation plan is essential to demonstrate measurable outcomes and long-term impact. Applications must be submitted to **IndonesiaAlumni@state.gov** by January 18, 2025, at 11:59 PM WIB. Mandatory application forms include SF-424-I, SF-424A, and SF-424B, which are available at [grants.gov](https://www.grants.gov/forms/sf-424-family.html). Reporting requirements include financial and programmatic reports during the award period and a final report within 90 days of the project’s conclusion. The U.S. Mission will not fund proposals that include activities like international travel to the United States, staff salaries, construction projects, fundraising, or programs supporting partisan political activity. All communication materials must include AEIF 2025 branding. For further questions, applicants may contact **IndonesiaAlumni@state.gov**.
