The Women’s Fund El Dorado (WFED) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Annual Grant Cycle. Nonprofit organizations, schools, churches, and service organizations serving the western slope of El Dorado County are encouraged to apply for funding to support initiatives that address local needs. A total of $100,000 will be awarded across various grant categories, including Inspiration Grants, Acorn Grants, and Impact Grants. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on January 30, 2025.
Eligible applicants must have nonprofit status and a physical location within the western slope of El Dorado County, from El Dorado Hills to Silver Fork. Organizations without a local office or nonprofit status may partner with a qualifying organization that acts as a fiscal sponsor, subject to additional vetting requirements. Organizations previously funded for two consecutive years are required to sit out for one year before reapplying.
A Grant Applicant Workshop will be held on January 16, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at PATRA in El Dorado Hills. This session will provide guidance on the application process. RSVP is required via email at coordinator@womensfundeldorado.org. Applications will be reviewed by the Grants Committee, and finalists will be notified on March 14, 2025. Finalists must participate in the Ballot Showcase event on March 27, 2025, to present their proposals.
The grant timeline includes a Grants Gala on May 15, 2025, where funded projects will be celebrated, and checks will be distributed on May 30, 2025. Grantees are required to submit interim and final reports documenting the effectiveness of their projects, with measurable outcomes due on January 31, 2026, and June 30, 2026, respectively. Recipients are also asked to acknowledge WFED’s support in public materials to help raise awareness of the fund's impact.
