FY2025 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA)

The FY2025 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding opportunity, administered by the Montana Board of Crime Control (MBCC), supports specialized services for victims of crime. Funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, this program emphasizes addressing the emotional and physical needs of victims, assisting in their stabilization, supporting their participation in the criminal justice system, and ensuring safety and security. While matching contributions of 20 percent are generally required, they may be waived for certain applicants, such as federally recognized tribes or organizations serving Native American reservations. First-time applicants must demonstrate that at least 25 percent of their project budget derives from non-federal sources, which may overlap with the required match. The application process opens on December 20, 2024, and closes on January 31, 2025, at 12:00 PM MST.
