Grant Description

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) of Georgia is accepting applications for the SFY2026 State Sexual Assault Grant Program. This grant program is supported through Georgia State Appropriations and is administered by CJCC, which was established by the Georgia General Assembly and designated by the Governor as the State Administering Agency for criminal justice and victim services programs. CJCC provides fiscal and programmatic oversight to ensure funds are used effectively for sexual assault intervention and prevention services across the state. The SFY2026 State Sexual Assault Grant Program is designed to support agencies that provide comprehensive intervention services, education, and awareness campaigns to address sexual assault in Georgia. Its overarching goal is to shift community attitudes regarding sexual violence, improve victim outcomes, and ensure access to evidence-based prevention strategies and trauma-informed support. Core funded services include advocacy and crisis intervention, emergency financial assistance, legal advocacy, follow-up contact and exams, medical accompaniment, and assistance with victim compensation. Specialized services supported by this grant include medical forensic exams, individual and family therapy, support groups, and educational outreach using evidence-based curricula. Eligibility is limited strictly to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or public entities located in Georgia that received continuation awards under the FY25 State Sexual Assault Program. Applicants must be certified to receive 5% Local Victim Assistance Program (LVAP) funds and recognized as certified sexual assault centers in Georgia for FY25. If applicable, they must also be certified to assist trafficking victims under SB158. Applicants must also meet specific administrative and fiscal accountability requirements such as conducting fingerprint-based background checks for direct service personnel every three years, maintaining strict privacy and nondiscrimination policies, and being compliant with EEOP and Civil Rights regulations. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on July 11, 2025, via the IGX Grants Management System. The grant award period runs from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. Required attachments include a budget narrative, detailed worksheet, organizational chart, and full operating budget. Programmatic and financial reporting will be required quarterly, and grantees must attend trainings and complete progress reports according to a schedule outlined by CJCC. Additional expectations include the implementation of safety plans for victims, community engagement activities, and sustainability plans with evidence of other funding or fundraising efforts. The award ceiling for most agencies is $115,270 as outlined in Appendix B, though additional funds are allocated for SANE programs, satellite offices, and specialized pilot initiatives like non-fatal strangulation and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Grantees must budget allowable expenses only, such as personnel, travel, equipment under $5,000, printing, supplies, and consultant fees. Supplanting existing funds, direct payment to victims, religious instruction, and capital expenditures are not allowed. Questions about the solicitation should be directed to Denise Hall at Denise.Hall@cjcc.ga.gov or 404-657-2233. Reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act are available by contacting Kristy Carter at kristy.carter@cjcc.ga.gov or 404-657-1956.
