The Stop Trafficking on the Plains (STOP) Fund, administered by the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation, aims to address critical needs and foster unique program opportunities that focus on eliminating trafficking within the Greater Grand Island area, primarily Hall County. The foundation prioritizes grants up to $5,000 based on project viability and fund availability. The program encourages potential applicants to discuss their proposals with foundation staff to ensure alignment with funding initiatives.
Eligible applicants include both private and public organizations classified as 501(c)(3) by the IRS or as governmental agencies. The fund primarily serves the Greater Grand Island area, with a preference for Hall County, but also considers applications from Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick, and Adam counties. Projects must align with one of the STOP Fund’s initiatives: Education and Prevention, Justice, or Support/Treatment, focusing on preventing trafficking through education, enhancing justice measures, and providing comprehensive support and treatment for victims.
Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications will be reviewed quarterly.
