Mini-Grants
This grant provides funding to South Euclid residents and local groups for community projects that enhance neighborhood beautification, organize events, or strengthen community ties.
The Mini Grants program is offered by One South Euclid, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in South Euclid, Ohio. One South Euclid works to strengthen neighborhoods, support local businesses, and foster community pride through targeted grantmaking and revitalization initiatives. The Mini Grants program is designed as a flexible, community-centered funding opportunity that enables residents, organizations, and local business groups to implement projects that bring people together and enhance the quality of life in South Euclid. Through this program, One South Euclid offers grants of up to 500 dollars to support projects and programs related to neighborhood beautification, community events, and other initiatives that benefit the South Euclid community. The emphasis is on collaboration and visible community impact. Youth-led projects are explicitly encouraged, signaling the organization’s interest in civic engagement and leadership development among young residents. The program does not support projects for individual residential properties, reinforcing its focus on broader community benefit rather than private property improvements. Applicants may request up to 500 dollars per project. A 20 percent match is required to demonstrate community buy-in. The match may be provided in cash, documented volunteer hours, or donated items such as space, equipment, or supplies. Grant funds are distributed on a reimbursement basis, meaning awardees must incur eligible expenses before receiving payment. Applications must be submitted before a project has been completed, and all funded projects or events must be completed by December 31, 2026. Eligibility is limited to entities connected to South Euclid. Eligible applicants include South Euclid residents applying on behalf of a group or organization, groups of South Euclid businesses, and organizations located within the community. The program does not require applicants to be an established nonprofit organization or a 501(c)(3). Informal groups of residents are welcome to apply, lowering barriers to participation and encouraging grassroots initiatives. Beginning January 20, 2026, Mini Grant applications are accepted year-round on a rolling basis. This replaces the previous twice-yearly application cycles. Funding decisions are made on a case-by-case basis until available funds are exhausted. Although applications are accepted continuously, grant decisions are made in April and August. Because funds are limited, not all eligible applications are guaranteed funding. Interested applicants may contact One South Euclid by phone at 216-396-9392 or by email at [email protected] for additional information. The rolling structure and limited funding model require applicants to plan ahead and submit early to increase their chances of consideration before funds are depleted.
