Florida Breast Cancer Foundation’s Education Grant

The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) is currently accepting applications for its 2025 Education Grants. The FBCF is a Florida-based nonprofit organization focused on funding innovative education, research, and advocacy efforts that address breast cancer in Florida communities. Through this education grant opportunity, FBCF aims to fund projects that promote breast health education and support for breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. The organization requires that all activities funded through this grant take place within Florida and exclusively benefit Florida residents. The purpose of the Education Grants is to support educational projects designed to provide breast health education in one-on-one, small group, or virtual settings. Grants of up to $7,500 are available for projects in a single Florida county, while projects serving multiple counties are eligible for up to $15,000. Funded projects must occur over a 12-month period and include at least two educational sessions during that time. FBCF encourages grantees to partner with organizations to provide education on various breast cancer-related support resources, including mammograms, diagnostic testing, financial assistance, emotional support, transportation, home care, child care, complementary therapies, prostheses, wigs, navigation services, and nutritional guidance. For 2025, applicants must choose at least one of the priority focus areas. These areas include providing education that empowers individuals to advocate for their own breast health, offering survivor education on post-treatment transitions, educating younger populations (middle school, high school, and college students) on breast health, and creating programs to reduce late-stage breast cancer diagnoses in areas with higher-than-average rates. FBCF emphasizes that educational programs must not be one-time events, health fair exhibitions, or participation in conferences or symposiums. Additionally, funds cannot be used for screening, diagnostics, or treatment programs. Eligible applicants include Florida-based nonprofit community organizations with 501(c)(3) status, Florida governmental entities, Florida-based educational institutions with tax-exempt status, and Indian tribes located within Florida. Non-Florida 501(c)(3) organizations may apply only if they have a physical, fully operational Florida location open year-round. All activities and expenditures must take place within the state, and applications must be submitted in English. Applications must be submitted through ProposalCentral.com, with the portal opening on January 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. EST. The application deadline is March 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
