Growing Greenwood Fund

The Growing Greenwood Fund is administered by the Emporia Community Foundation to support education, community development, health, economic initiatives, recreational services, and nonprofit projects that enhance life in Greenwood County, Kansas. The fund prioritizes innovative and creative efforts responsive to changing needs in health, education, social services, recreation, and culture. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, particularly those not supported by government entities with taxing authority. Grants will not support operational expenses such as rent, utilities, or salaries. Instead, funds must be used for specific projects that deliver measurable community benefits. Applicants should demonstrate how the proposed project aligns with their mission and fulfills community needs. Each grant may not exceed $1,000, and the fund does not require matching contributions. Projects will be evaluated based on community impact, strategy for achieving results, partnerships, and evaluation methods.
