Jewish Life Grant 2025
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and community initiatives that enhance Jewish life and promote inclusivity, engagement, and social justice within the diverse Jewish communities of the Greater Denver metro area.
Rose Community Foundation’s Jewish Life program invites applications for its 2025 Jewish Life Grant Cycle Two, aimed at supporting the Jewish communities of the Greater Denver metro area. The Foundation’s Jewish Life program seeks to fund initiatives that reflect the diversity and evolving needs of these communities, prioritizing inclusivity, engagement, and community development. Rooted in a commitment to Jewish values and traditions, the program encourages efforts that welcome a wide range of individuals and families into Jewish life, fostering meaningful connections through innovative and community-oriented programming. The grant opportunity focuses on three core funding areas: strengthening the organizational capacity of Jewish organizations, developing programs that reflect the diversity of Jewish communities, and advancing social justice initiatives informed by Jewish values. Applicants in the capacity-building category are expected to propose projects that contribute significantly to their organization’s sustainability, such as hiring key staff, upgrading systems, or launching new revenue-generating strategies. For programmatic grants, applicants should present data-supported proposals that address unmet needs within the local Jewish ecosystem. Social justice proposals should demonstrate impact on both target populations and the Jewish identities of participants. Organizations eligible to apply must be tax-exempt entities—including nonprofits, schools, or government institutions—serving the seven-county Greater Denver region, which includes Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. Groups or initiatives without their own tax-exempt status may still apply by partnering with a qualified fiscal sponsor. Applicants must also comply with the Foundation’s nondiscrimination policy and refrain from promoting antisemitism or misinformation in any form. Funding is available as one-time grants, with the potential for general operating or program-specific support. Grants will be awarded for a 12-month period starting November 1, 2025, and closing October 31, 2026. Multi-year funding is rare and typically reserved for projects with a strong community need and strategic impact; first-time grantees are unlikely to receive multi-year support. Individual grant amounts are expected to remain within 15% of the applicant’s current operating budget. Funds cannot be used for endowments, reserves, debt repayment, or pass-through grants. Applications must be submitted online between June 23 and July 21, 2025, with the final deadline at 5:00 p.m. MDT on July 21. The Foundation office will be closed from June 30 to July 4, during which time staff will not be available for inquiries. All applicants will be notified of funding decisions by October 31, 2025. Successful grantees must attend one of two evaluation strategy meetings during the week of November 10, 2025. Final grant reports are due by November 30, 2026. Applications include detailed financial disclosures, core county service areas, impact narratives, and evaluation strategies. Applicants requesting $100,000 or more must submit audited financial statements or the most recent year-end financials.
