Arrowhead Center at New Mexico State University, in collaboration with San Juan College and the Harvest Food Hub, presents BizSprint San Juan, a two-day in-person educational program designed to assist aspiring and existing food industry business owners in San Juan County, New Mexico. Funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the program aims to stimulate local economic development and support entrepreneurship in the region.
Participants will engage in hands-on learning based on the Business Model Canvas framework. The revamped curriculum focuses on entrepreneurial education, including pricing strategies, accounting practices, and funding options. In addition to this structured learning, BizSprint offers post-session personalized support through one-on-one meetings, connections to business advisors, and the potential to receive an Enterprise Research Report offering marketing, financial, and strategic planning insights.
The event also fosters networking opportunities with speakers, peers, potential collaborators, and customers. BizSprint San Juan is entirely free to participants and serves as a non-cash capacity-building initiative rather than a direct grant fund. However, the program delivers high-impact resources and follow-up services to enhance participants' business growth and sustainability.
Eligible participants include individuals and small businesses operating in or aspiring to serve the food industry in San Juan County, New Mexico. Applications must be submitted by the registration deadline of June 9, 2025. The two-day session will be held in Farmington, NM.
