Organizations demonstrating alignment with PEPFAR’s local partner definitions receive a 15-point advantage in merit review scoring. The program encompasses strategies to enhance case-finding and continuity of care, improve quality management systems, strengthen health information systems, and optimize the health workforce. Activities include scaling up TB/HIV diagnostic tools, improving access to antiretroviral therapy (ART) and viral load suppression, addressing stigma, and integrating mental health care. Focus populations include women of reproductive age, children, adolescents, and men in Namibia’s high-burden regions. The CDC anticipates funding one to three awards under this opportunity, with $15 million allocated for the first year and a five-year project period. Cost-sharing is not required. Applicants must submit a comprehensive application including a project narrative, budget narrative, evaluation plans, and supporting documentation, such as organizational charts and partnership letters. The submission deadline is February 19, 2025. Proposals will undergo initial review for eligibility and responsiveness before advancing to a merit review based on approach, organizational capacity, and monitoring and evaluation plans. Selection considers merit scores, local partnership preference, and alignment with PEPFAR goals. Award notices are expected by August 2025, with projects starting in September 2025. Awardees must comply with CDC and PEPFAR reporting requirements, including performance measures and financial reporting. Regular evaluations and adjustments will ensure progress toward program objectives. The CDC will provide technical oversight, data support, and training to align activities with Namibia’s health goals and PEPFAR’s strategic priorities.
