Arena Youth Enrichment Grant

The Arena Youth Enrichment Grant, established by the Town Toyota Center, is designed to provide access to enriching experiences for youth who may otherwise be unable to participate due to financial or other barriers. This grant is administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW) and aligns with their broader mission of community enhancement and support through philanthropic efforts. The fund specifically focuses on enabling youth access to programs such as Learn to Skate, private ice rentals, and attendance at performances hosted at the Town Toyota Center. The purpose of the grant is to ensure inclusivity and equitable access to recreational and cultural opportunities for youth residing in the Greater Wenatchee Regional Events Center Public Facilities District. The funding aims to reduce cost-related barriers for schools and nonprofit organizations that serve underprivileged children and students. Types of eligible requests include one-day Learn to Skate sessions, six-week skating lessons, private rink rentals including skate rental, show attendance at the arena, and other skating-related classes or activities that align with the Center's offerings. Funds from this grant are to be used strictly for future activities and cannot be applied retroactively. The awarded funds must be utilized within three months of the award date. Additionally, ice time must be scheduled within 30 days of receiving the award. If unused within 90 days, funds must be returned and the grantee must reapply. Payments are made directly to Town Toyota Center through checks sent to the recipient organizations, who then remit payment at the time of the scheduled activity. Overages beyond the granted amount must be paid by the grantee, and any unspent balance exceeding $25 must be refunded to the Arena Youth Enrichment Fund. Eligible applicants include schools and nonprofit organizations supporting youth programs. Applicants must serve youth aged 18 or younger and must be located within Chelan and Douglas counties or in cities including Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere, Chelan, Rock Island, Waterville, and Entiat. Priority is given to programs targeting underprivileged youth. Grantees are limited to one award every six months unless otherwise specified. Applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year, with award decisions made within 30 days of submission deadlines. All applicants must apply online and are required to provide details regarding the intended impact of the grant, who it will serve, and the expected benefits for the youth involved. Though formal grant reports are not required, grantees must submit a brief narrative statement and at least one photograph of the funded event within two weeks of its conclusion.
