Rigorous Evaluation of Primary and Secondary Overdose Prevention Activities Among Populations Disproportionately Affected by Overdose
This funding opportunity provides financial support for organizations to evaluate and implement overdose prevention strategies targeting communities disproportionately affected by substance use disorders and overdose deaths.
The CDCβs "Rigorous Evaluation of Primary and Secondary Overdose Prevention Activities Among Populations Disproportionately Affected by Overdose" funding opportunity supports research aimed at evaluating overdose prevention strategies for groups at higher risk of drug overdose or adverse outcomes due to social determinants of health. Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, state and local governments, tribal entities, small businesses, and for-profit organizations. The award ceiling is $700,000, with a total estimated funding amount of $4.9 million available for up to seven awards. Applications are due by December 2, 2024, at 11:59 pm ET.
