Transgender and Non-binary Wellness and Equity Fund (TWEF)

The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is making $1M available through the Lorena Borjas Transgender and Non-Binary Wellness and Equity Fund (TWEF) to support organizations that increase access to employment for transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary individuals (TGNCNB). The funding aims to promote employment equity and eliminate bias and discrimination based on gender identity and expression in the workplace. Eligible organizations must demonstrate the capacity to provide educational and vocational training programs developed in consultation with TGNCNB individuals. The goal is to enhance workforce development services and address employment barriers impacting TGNCNB communities. Priority will be given to TGNCNB-led and staffed organizations.
