The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking contractors to support Minnesota Tribal governments and Tribal organizations through professional and technical assistance focused on environmental and climate initiatives. This initiative is designed to enhance capacity for grant writing, grant management, environmental science, and community engagement, aiming to advance projects that align with Tribal priorities. The contractors selected through this RFP will work directly with Tribal entities to help secure and manage funding and implement strategic environmental and climate programs.
Eligible contractors include for-profit organizations, non-profit organizations, universities, and intertribal consortia. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate their experience and proficiency in securing and managing grants, and their ability to carry out Tribal-led projects. They must also have relevant environmental and technical expertise suitable for supporting grant preparation, feasibility assessments, environmental studies, and management plans for Tribal communities.
A total of up to $1.5 million in funding is available under this request for proposal. The selected contractors will enter agreements with the MPCA to deliver specified support services. Funding is intended to cover activities like preparing federal and state grant applications, developing climate and environmental assessments, and providing technical or educational assistance tailored to the unique needs of Minnesota’s Tribal communities.
The RFP and required application materials are accessible through the Minnesota state’s SWIFT Supplier Portal.
