Comcast Rise Grant
This program provides financial support and resources to small businesses in select U.S. cities that are dedicated to community upliftment and have been impacted by COVID-19.
The Comcast RISE Small Business Program is an initiative by Comcast Cable Communications Management to support the growth and sustainability of small businesses that are making a meaningful impact in their local communities. The program, administered in partnership with Ernst & Young (EY), focuses on empowering small business owners through a suite of resources designed to promote long-term success. Comcast RISE was initially launched with an emphasis on businesses owned by underrepresented groups, but the 2025 program reflects an expanded commitment to inclusivity, welcoming all small businesses operating in five designated U.S. cities. For the 2025 cycle, Comcast RISE will award approximately 500 small businesses with a comprehensive grant package that includes a $5,000 cash award, a turnkey media campaign featuring a professionally produced 30-second commercial and a 180-day linear TV media schedule, a technology makeover (including Comcast Business Internet, Voice, cybersecurity, and computer equipment for up to 12 months), access to LinkedIn Learning for one year, and personalized business consultation services. The total estimated value of these services exceeds $30,000 per recipient. These benefits are aimed at increasing business visibility, technological capability, and leadership capacity. Eligible applicants must operate in one of the following geographic regions: Boston, MA; Grand Rapids, MI; Nashville, TN; Seattle, WA (King County); or South Valley, UT (Wasatch Front). Businesses must be independently owned, revenue-generating for at least the prior 12 months, and in operation for a minimum of two years. Applicants must be the majority owner (at least 51%) and be actively engaged in daily business operations. The program specifically excludes franchises, nonprofits, government-related businesses, educational institutions that participate in the FCCโs E-Rate program, and businesses involved in prohibited industries such as adult entertainment, tobacco, firearms, or cannabis. The application window runs from May 1 to May 31, 2025. Applicants must first complete a short eligibility criteria form (estimated five minutes) to determine their qualification for the full application. Once eligibility is confirmed, they may proceed to the primary application form, which may take 15 to 30 minutes depending on documentation readiness. The application requires account registration and submission of business firmographics, ownership information, and supporting documents in formats such as PDF, JPG, or DOCX. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on May 31, 2025. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel assigned by the sponsor and administrator based on completeness, qualifications, and business verification. Winners will be contacted via email or phone and must sign an affidavit and publicity release within five business days of notification. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes and should consult tax professionals, as grant components may be reportable. This program is not recurring in structure, but it is part of Comcastโs broader RISE initiative, which has offered similar opportunities in prior years. For support, applicants can contact ComcastRISESupport@ey.com. Full program rules and details are available at www.comcastrise.com. Interested businesses are strongly encouraged to review eligibility requirements thoroughly and prepare all documentation prior to the application period.
