The Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program is a collaborative funding initiative between the King Conservation District (KCD) and the City of Seattle's Office of Sustainability and Environment. This program, a specialized branch of KCDโs Member Jurisdiction Grant Program, is exclusively designated for projects located within the City of Seattle. The purpose of the program is to support community organizations in implementing projects that align with local conservation and sustainability goals. The 2025 grant cycle offers a total of $700,000 in funding, with individual awards capped at $75,000. Projects may span multiple years.
To apply, eligible organizations must use KCDโs online grant portal. Applicants must create an account if they are new to the portal or retrieve login credentials if they have applied previously. Applications will be accepted starting May 20, 2025, and must be submitted by 5:00 PM on July 14, 2025. Prior to submission, applicants may request free technical assistance by June 24, 2025. This support includes project alignment discussions, proposal reviews, and high-level editing services.
The program encourages applicants to attend one of two virtual information sessions scheduled for May 29 and June 13, 2025. Additionally, three drop-in office hours will be held in June and July for applicants to engage directly with KCD and City staff regarding eligibility, project ideas, and application processes. These sessions aim to equip applicants with the knowledge and resources needed to craft strong proposals.
All applicants must upload specific materials via the grant portal, including a Work Plan Table and Budget Table. Depending on project specifics, optional documents such as Fiscal Sponsor Confirmation Letters, Key Partnership Confirmation Letters, and Landowner Permission Letters may also be required. The application evaluation will utilize the KCD-Seattle Community Partnership Scoring Rubric, accessible via the programโs web page.
Final decisions will be communicated by email on November 7, 2025. For ongoing or previously awarded grants, organizations must submit reporting documents through the same online portal. For additional support or inquiries, applicants are directed to contact Jessica Saavedra at King Conservation District.
