Jackson County Community Foundation Grant 2025

The Jackson County Community Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), offers an annual grant program designed to support nonprofit organizations, schools, and public institutions that serve Jackson County, Ohio. The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, headquartered in Nelsonville, Ohio, focuses on fostering philanthropic solutions to address community needs throughout the Appalachian region of the state. Through this partnership, the Jackson County Community Foundation advances efforts that create meaningful impact across local communities. The purpose of the 2025 grant program is to fund initiatives that align with one or more of five core areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. The overarching objective is to support individuals and organizations spearheading projects that not only address current needs but also harness the untapped potential within the county. Applicants are encouraged to design programs that benefit residents of all ages and demonstrate a clear and measurable community impact. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, educational institutions, and public organizations located within or serving Jackson County. Funding requests should generally range from $500 to $5,000; however, proposals exceeding this range may be considered if they present a compelling case for substantial community impact. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation Cloud Community Portal. All new applicants must first register for an account on the platform. Those who have already registered since fall 2024 can use their existing credentials. After registration, applicants can navigate to the “Grant Application” tab, select “Available Grants,” and proceed with the specific grant application form for the Jackson County Community Foundation. The grant application window for the 2025 cycle opens on Tuesday, April 29, and closes on Tuesday, June 10.
