Anschutz Family Foundation Grant

The Anschutz Family Foundation supports nonprofit organizations across Colorado, with an emphasis on initiatives that promote self-sufficiency, community development, and the well-being of underserved populations. Specific funding areas include civic and community capacity building, crisis intervention, early childhood development, food security and homelessness, low-income housing, literacy, senior services, and youth development. Anschutz Family Foundation offers two grant cycles annually, with deadlines on January 15 and July 1. The Spring 2026 application is currently open, with a submission deadline of January 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (ET). First-time applicants, or those who have been declined before or are unsure of alignment, are encouraged to submit an optional Letter of Inquiry (LOI) or call the Foundation before applying. LOIs submitted within three weeks of a deadline may be reviewed in the next cycle instead. Applicants must complete an online eligibility quiz before accessing the grant application. Required materials include narrative responses, a sources of income table, and a major contributors list, for which templates are provided. Applications must be submitted via the grantee portal, which allows users to save progress and return to the form. Submissions must be finalized before the 5:00 p.m. deadline. The Foundation recommends early submission to avoid technical issues. Following submission, applications are assigned to staff for review. The review process typically spans four months, and applicants may be contacted for further information or a site visit. Final decisions are communicated by mail in late May for the spring cycle and late November for the summer cycle.
