Lydia Collins deForest Charitable Grant Program

The Lydia Collins deForest Charitable Trust, established in 2002, aims to support organizations that provide services to visually impaired individuals, churches, and organizations affiliated with the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, and those serving the homeless, unemployed, or substance-dependent. The trust specifically focuses on projects within New Jersey, offering grants of $25,000 to $50,000 over one or multiple years. Priority is given to increasing an organization's capacity, reach, or impact, as well as capital improvements and technical support. General operating support and building campaigns are not considered. The application deadline is November 30, with decisions announced by February 28 of the following year. Special consideration is given to The Lighthouse, Inc. (NY), Calvary Episcopal Church (NJ), and the Salvation Army (NJ). Applications must specify the grant purpose, project budget, detailed outline of fund usage, and expected outcomes. Bank of America co-trustees the trust with Ms. Jean Marano and Ms. Carolann Clynes.
