Program: City of Camden Facade Grant Program
Funder: City of Camden
Award Details: The grant is a reimbursement grant awarded as a 50% match, allocated at $75 per linear foot of the facade, up to a maximum of $15,000. The maximum amount allowed per building is $15,000 over a five-year period. The applicant will have six months from City Council approval to complete the construction of the improvements, with the possibility of a three-month extension if justified.
Eligibility:
- All owner/operators of licensed businesses in commercial areas of the City may apply.
- Grants will be awarded on a dollar-for-dollar matching basis.
- Rear and side facades are eligible if visible from public parking lots and public spaces.
- Signage is not eligible unless it is incorporated into the building.
- Pre-approval by the City of Camden is required for eligibility.
Other Information:
- Completed applications should be submitted to the Building Official's Office for review and consideration by the City Manager.
- Funding availability may determine whether applications are approved immediately or placed on hold until funding becomes available.
- Grant awards are at the sole discretion of the City Council.
- The City will reimburse applicants after inspection and approval, upon submission of paid receipts/invoices and cancelled checks to contractors.
