Eligible Uses Tribal Communities hold the expertise to design and implement culturally responsive solutions that meet the needs of their communities. The Tribal HHAP program supports tribal self-determination to flexibly use a variety of interventions to meet each Tribe’s unique needs. HSC section 50236 provides broad categories where Tribal Communities can choose a variety of interventions in the following categories: permanent housing solutions, interim housing solutions, and services Eligibility Criteria California Federally Recognized Tribes are the only applicants able to receive funding from Tribal HHAP. However, Tribes may partner with other organizations or may designate another individual or entity to complete the application on their behalf, provided that the proper tribal authority signs and certifies the application.
