Linn County Cultural Coalition Grant
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Linn County, Oregon, to support projects that enhance arts, heritage, and humanities while promoting community engagement and cultural enrichment.
The Linn County Cultural Coalition (LCCC) is a nonprofit organization committed to enriching cultural life in Linn County, Oregon. As one of 45 countywide and tribal cultural coalitions affiliated with the Oregon Cultural Trust, the Coalition helps ensure that Trust funds reach every region of the state. It fulfills this mission by awarding small-scale cultural grants to local organizations and individuals, using funding received from the Oregon Cultural Trust as well as local donors. Since launching its grantmaking in 2005, LCCC has distributed over $178,000 to support more than 80 organizations across the county, with projects spanning arts education, historical preservation, community performances, and inclusive library programming. The grant program aims to support projects that enhance access to the arts, humanities, and heritage while promoting creative expression and civic engagement. Grants are available annually and typically range from $250 to $2,500, although most past awards have been under $1,000. While larger grants are available directly from the Oregon Cultural Trust, LCCC focuses on smaller, community-rooted projects that align with its mission to foster cultural participation across diverse populations in Linn County. The application period for the current grant cycle opened on December 1, 2025, and is currently open. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on February 1, 2026. Awards will be announced by the end of March. The submission process requires a complete application package, including a project summary, marketing plan, and itemized budget. The application must be signed by an authorized officer of the applicant or the sponsoring organization. Online submission is preferred, but scanned applications may also be submitted via email to [email protected]. Eligibility is open to 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) nonprofit organizations, as well as units of local government. Individuals and unincorporated groups may also apply if sponsored by an eligible nonprofit or government agency. All projects must be completed within the calendar year. Ineligible activities include annual scholarships, efforts focused on religious or political advocacy, or projects that serve primarily commercial or athletic organizations. Fundraising events are also ineligible unless the cultural activity itself is a qualifying component. Priority is given to projects that have not recently received LCCC funding, that show strong community support (e.g., volunteer engagement or local contributions), that are free or low-cost to the public, and that involve collaboration between multiple organizations. This ensures that the program promotes equitable access and community-wide cultural development. Each grantee is required to attend an awards event if scheduled and must submit a final grant report by year-end to remain eligible for future funding cycles. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the complete grant guidelines and contact LCCC board members with any questions. The application form and further instructions are available on the Coalition’s website. Careful adherence to the eligibility rules, submission requirements, and evaluation criteria will strengthen an applicant’s chance of securing funding in this competitive, community-focused grant program.
