Grant Description

The Wyoming Arts Council’s Community Support Grant provides financial assistance to organizations that offer arts-related services and programs to their communities. This grant supports both operating expenses and project-based initiatives, as well as arts learning opportunities. Funding is available for activities occurring between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. The goal of this grant is to enhance community engagement with the arts, improve accessibility to arts programming, and support the sustainability of arts organizations across Wyoming. Applications for the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Community Support Grant will open on February 17, 2025, and close on March 28, 2025. Applicants must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) to be eligible for panel review. Organizations may request up to $10,000 for operating and/or project support and an additional $5,000 for arts learning programs, with a maximum possible award of $15,000. However, requested funding cannot exceed 50% of the organization’s total project or operating expenses, and all awarded grants require a 1:1 cash match. Applications are reviewed by a panel of community members and arts professionals. The evaluation process considers factors such as program impact, artistic excellence, organizational capacity, and community engagement. Specific scoring criteria and application questions can be accessed through the Community Support Grant Rubric and Grantee Guidebook, both of which provide guidance on application content and feedback from past panelists. To support applicants, the Wyoming Arts Council is offering a series of informational webinars covering eligibility, application processes, and final report requirements. Additionally, a text-only version of the grant guidelines is available to ensure accessibility. Organizations that received Community Support Grants in Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) were collectively awarded $966,164 across 121 organizations.
