The Lancaster County Community Foundation has announced the "Lancaster Thrives Together" grant opportunity for 2025, offering a total of $375,000 in competitive funding to community benefit organizations (CBOs) serving residents of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This grant cycle prioritizes upstream solutions aimed at addressing the root causes of poverty and promoting economic stability, particularly for unemployed individuals and ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) populations.
Grants will support initiatives fostering financial literacy, adult education and job training, housing assistance, access to healthcare (including mental health and substance abuse services), childcare and early education, legal services, and supportive services for refugees, immigrants, and formerly incarcerated individuals. Preference will be given to projects focused on underserved communities, systems change, leadership, and innovative approaches that promote long-term self-sufficiency and economic equity.
Grant awards range from $10,000 to $50,000. Applications are due by July 18, 2025. Organizations are encouraged to submit their proposals through the foundationโs online grant portal. Additional resources, including an eligibility checklist, an information sheet, and FAQs, are available to help applicants prepare strong submissions.
Applicants are welcome to contact Program Officer Rachael Hartman or Senior Program Officer Fran Rodriguez with any questions. Zoom office hours were offered earlier in the year for applicants to learn more about the grant and ask preliminary questions.
