Grant Description

The Grants for Good program, administered by Invest in Others, provides financial support to nonprofit organizations across a wide range of causes. The program aims to assist nonprofits that focus on areas such as arts and culture, education and youth programs, health and wellness, human services and economic development, hunger and poverty prevention, and support for military and veterans. Grants can be requested for various purposes, including program support, seed money, and capital improvements, with funding amounts reaching up to $20,000. The primary objective of the Grants for Good program is to empower nonprofits by providing them with the necessary resources to enhance their operations and expand their impact within their communities. By supporting a diverse array of causes, the program seeks to foster positive change and address pressing social issues. The funding is intended to help organizations implement new initiatives, improve existing programs, or make significant capital improvements that will benefit their mission. Eligibility for the Grants for Good program is specifically tailored to individuals working within the financial services ecosystem. This includes financial advisors and their staff, as well as employees from asset management firms, broker-dealers, clearing firms, custodians, FinTech companies, industry associations, insurance companies, and wirehouses. Additionally, applicants must be active volunteers with the nonprofit they are representing. It is important to note that individuals who have received a grant or have been recognized as finalists or winners of the Invest in Others Awards within the past five years are restricted from applying for the same charity but may apply for a different one. The nonprofit organization must be based in the United States and hold tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Organizations whose primary mission is to assist individuals outside of the U.S. are not eligible for this program. Each applicant may submit only one application on behalf of a single nonprofit organization, ensuring that the focus remains on the most deserving cause. The application process requires potential applicants to provide detailed information about their nonprofit and the intended use of the funds. Specific questions will be included in the application to assess the alignment of the nonprofit's mission with the program's objectives. Evaluation criteria will consider the potential impact of the proposed project, the organization's capacity to execute it, and the overall alignment with the funding priorities of the Grants for Good program. The deadline for submitting applications for the Grants for Good program is October 25, 2024. It is essential for interested parties to prepare their applications in advance to ensure they meet this deadline. For further information and updates regarding the program, applicants can visit the Invest in Others website. This program represents a valuable opportunity for eligible nonprofits to secure funding that can significantly enhance their ability to serve their communities.
