Fulton Forward Foundation’s Impact Grant
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in select states that focus on economic empowerment through initiatives like affordable housing, job training, and financial literacy.
The Fulton Forward Foundation Impact Grant Program, administered by the Fulton Forward Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations advancing economic empowerment across select service regions. The Foundation is an independent, private, nonprofit entity affiliated with Fulton Bank. Its grantmaking activities focus on catalyzing meaningful, measurable change through financial gifts of $20,000 or more to 501(c)(3) community organizations. Eligible applicants must operate in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia, the core geographic service areas of Fulton Bank. The program's funding priorities are aligned with four strategic pillars: Affordable Housing and Home Ownership, Job Training and Workforce Development, Financial Literacy, and broader Economic Empowerment. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate that their proposed projects or initiatives align with at least one of these priority areas. Preference is given to initiatives that foster sustainable growth and development within the bank’s footprint, especially those that address critical community needs and present clear, scalable solutions. Applicants must submit a detailed proposal through the Fulton Forward Foundation Impact Grant Application platform. The request must include supporting documentation such as a current IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter, a signed W-9 form, the organization’s annual report, and a mission statement. Additional supporting materials such as event flyers or detailed descriptions of sponsorship or donation requests may be submitted to strengthen the application. Within the application, organizations are required to provide responses addressing their mission and vision, organizational stability, project need or opportunity, and if applicable, the impact of any prior grants received. Impact Grant requests of $20,000 or more are reviewed on a biannual schedule. Applications submitted by June 30 are considered in the Spring cycle, with decisions and awards issued in October or November of the same year. Applications received by December 30 fall under the Fall cycle and, if approved, are awarded in April or May of the following calendar year. Organizations that have previously received an impact grant must wait 24 months after the grant date before reapplying to ensure the foundation supports a broad range of community organizations. All funding decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. After submitting an application, the foundation may contact the organization for additional information as needed. Due to the high volume of requests received, Fulton Forward may not be able to respond to every inquiry. Organizations seeking smaller donations or sponsorships should use the general Fulton Bank Application instead of the Impact Grant platform.
