The City of Columbia, Missouri, will begin accepting proposals for Fiscal Year 2026 funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) beginning April 21, 2025. Interested organizations and individuals are encouraged to submit proposals for projects that align with the City’s 2025–2029 Consolidated Plan priorities.
A Letter of Intent must be submitted by May 2, 2025, by 11:59 PM. Full proposals are due by May 9, 2025, by 11:59 PM. No late submissions will be accepted for either deadline. For FY 2026, the City anticipates receiving approximately $1.1 million in new CDBG funds and $500,000 in new HOME funds. Additionally, there will be approximately $530,000 in reallocated CDBG funds, $60,668.22 in CDBG-CV funds, and $400,000 in carryover HOME funds available.
Eligible activities include a wide range of community development, affordable housing, and related projects that meet CDBG and HOME program criteria. Projects applying for reallocated funds should be prepared to begin work by summer 2025, with priority given to projects that are ready to proceed quickly.
