2024 Community Grant Program

The 2024 Community Grant Program, offered by the Northern Neck Insurance Company (NNINS), supports projects that benefit Virginia communities in areas such as education, public safety, environmental conservation, and diversity. Open only to Virginia-based 501(c)(3) organizations, the grant seeks to expand the reach and impact of programs that align with NNINS’s mission to foster a healthy, thriving community. Grants are available for initiatives that directly serve Virginia residents and promote community safety, emergency preparedness, housing, cultural preservation, and inclusion. Applications for the 2024 grant cycle are accepted from October 11 through November 11, 2024. Prospective applicants must download and complete the fillable application form, then submit it via email to Mike Antonio at NNINS by the close of business on the deadline date. Recipients will be notified by email and publicly announced on "Giving Tuesday," December 3, 2024, via social media. Grant awards typically range between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on project scope and alignment with program priorities. Priority is given to projects that promote Virginia family well-being, cultural and historical initiatives, community safety, and the natural environment, as well as initiatives supporting safe and affordable housing. Ineligible applicants include religious organizations, political entities, individuals, and organizations in direct competition with NNINS. Additionally, recipients of an NNINS Community Grant within the previous two years are not eligible to apply.
