Behavioral and Integrative Treatment Development Program (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for the Behavioral and Integrative Treatment Development Program (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) under Funding Opportunity Announcement PAR-22-182. This program aims to support behavioral intervention research in areas such as drug abuse treatment, adherence interventions, and substance misuse treatment. Stage II and Stage III efficacy research is especially encouraged. The opportunity supports diverse methods for improving treatment effectiveness, implementation, and long-term sustainability. Eligible applicants include state, local, and tribal governments, public and private institutions of higher education, small and for-profit businesses, nonprofits with and without 501(c)(3) status, and other organizations such as faith-based and community organizations, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Native American-serving institutions. Non-U.S. entities and foreign organizations are also eligible.
