Grant Description

Program: Dennis Washington Leadership Graduate Scholarship Funder: Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation Award Details: Scholarship recipients will receive up to $120,000 for a post-graduate degree. Eligibility: - Must be in good standing with the Association as a State or National Horatio Alger Scholar - Must have completed an undergraduate degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 - Must be accepted into a Master's or Doctoral program at an accredited university in the US or Canada - Must provide evidence of leadership skills and civic/community involvement - Must submit academic record, test scores, and academic references - Must write essay(s) on reasons for pursuing a graduate degree, aspirations upon completion, and how their life contributes to the mission and goals of the Horatio Alger Association - Must be a citizen of the United States or Canada - Must provide resume including employment history and academic achievements, as well as two professional/academic references Other Information: - Application period is from September 15 to November 15. - Applicants must be working toward a post-graduate degree in an eligible field.
