The Golden Valley County Community Foundation (GVCCF), part of the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF), offers annual grant opportunities to support community-focused initiatives in Golden Valley County, North Dakota. The foundation was formed by concerned local residents to address funding gaps for regional nonprofit and governmental efforts. NDCF provides administrative and fiduciary support, allowing GVCCF’s volunteer-led committee to focus on grant promotion, fund development, and impact communication.
The purpose of the GVCCF grant program is to support local nonprofit organizations and government agencies that deliver services within Golden Valley County. In 2025, the program will distribute $56,000 in total, sourced from endowment earnings and Grid United’s Community Investment Program. Funding is split between two cycles: a Spring Round ($25,000) with a deadline of April 28, 2025, and a Fall Round ($31,000) closing on August 31, 2025.
Priority is given to projects benefiting youth, senior citizens, leadership development, and broader community development. Proposals should demonstrate broad community benefit and evidence of additional funding support. Low priority is given to multi-year funding requests. The foundation does not support operational expenses, individual grants or scholarships.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and entities with a qualifying fiscal sponsor. All applicants must provide services within Golden Valley County. The application process requires registering on the grant portal, providing organizational and executive details, and completing the application form. Applicants can save and return to their application before submission.
