Love Your Block Mini-Grant

The Love Your Block Mini-Grant program is a collaborative initiative by the City of Little Rock and Bloomberg Philanthropies designed to support neighborhood revitalization efforts. This grant opportunity empowers local Neighborhood Associations and nonprofit organizations to initiate and complete community-driven projects that enhance public spaces and foster civic engagement. The program targets underserved communities in specific wards of the city, emphasizing sustainable and impactful improvements to the local environment. Eligible applicants include Neighborhood Associations and nonprofit organizations registered as 501(c)(3) entities. The program specifically prioritizes projects located in Little Rock's Wards 1, 2, 6, and 7. All applicants selected for funding must submit a valid IRS W9 form. The initiative supports projects that promote beautification and revitalization efforts, with acceptable activities including but not limited to community garden installations, public space cleanups, playground repairs, and the enhancement of green spaces. Grants of up to $5,000 are available, with the expectation that applicants address any additional funding needs if their project exceeds the maximum award. In cases with unique circumstances, exceptions may be considered. Applicants must ensure funds are used exclusively for the purposes outlined in their approved proposal. All funded projects must be completed and all funds expended no later than August 31, 2026. In addition to project completion, grantees must submit a final report by September 8, 2026. This report should detail project activities, provide a financial summary including receipts or invoices, and outline at least one measurable output or outcome. The City of Little Rock's Love Your Block team offers support to grantees throughout the process and assists with reporting requirements. Applicants proposing improvements to public property must secure proper permissions from the City. For projects on private or community-owned land, applicants are required to submit either proof of ownership or a letter of support from the property owner. To support the application process, an informational webinar is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at 6 p.m., offering guidance and answering applicant questions. As part of the application, all "before" photos of proposed project sites should be emailed to [email protected] with the project name in the subject line. Interested organizations are encouraged to submit applications by March 20, 2026. The City anticipates awarding up to 15 grants through this cycle of the program.
