The Mural Assistance Grant provides partial funding to support the creation of exterior murals in Franklin County. This grant is aimed at working artists who have secured a specific mural location and partial funding from a commissioning organization.
Eligibility:
Who Can Apply:
Must be a working artist, aged 18 or older, as demonstrated by resume and work samples.
Must have lived in Franklin County or a bordering county for at least one year prior to applying.
Must not be a degree-seeking undergraduate student.
Artists who received a Mural Assistance grant in Spring 2024 are not eligible, but 2023 grantees can reapply.
Eligible Projects:
The mural location must be in Franklin County, visible to the public, and outside the Downtown District of Columbus.
A contract or letter of intent is required between the artist(s) and the commissioning organization, outlining the mural's location and total compensation.
The commissioning organization must commit to providing at least $500 in funding towards the mural.
