B. Braun Charitable Contribution program
This grant provides funding to non-profit organizations and independent programs that benefit local communities, particularly those serving under-served populations, promoting STEM education, and supporting arts and cultural initiatives.
B. Braun’s Charitable Donations program reflects the company's dedication to corporate citizenship by supporting organizations that promote health, inclusion, education, and culture in the communities where it operates. With a mission to protect and improve people's health, B. Braun commits resources through four primary mechanisms: Charitable Donations, Product Donations, Educational Grants, and Investigator-Initiated Research Grants. The Charitable Donations stream, in particular, focuses on nonprofit organizations working in specific geographic areas aligned with B. Braun’s operational footprint. Eligible initiatives must fall within one or more of B. Braun’s stated focus areas. These include Health Access, such as expanding medical care for underserved populations and addressing social determinants of health; Inclusion and Belonging, encompassing education and partnerships that promote diversity and economic equity; Educational Advancement, particularly in STEM and manufacturing-related skills; and Arts and Culture, supporting community-based creative programs. All supported activities must align with the company’s ethics, values, and legal standards, particularly those defined by AdvaMed industry codes. Organizations interested in receiving support must submit a Charitable Donation Request Form through the appropriate online portal or form link, ensuring that all required fields and documents are complete. Requests sent directly to B. Braun employees will not be accepted. The Grants and Donations Committee, an internal decision-making body, reviews all submissions and may take up to 90 days to render a decision. It is recommended that applicants submit requests early to avoid missing potential funding cycles due to processing time constraints. While B. Braun seeks to support a wide range of worthy causes, not all requests can be funded. Special restrictions apply to requests involving hospitals or healthcare providers when funding would support items used in reimbursable medical care, in alignment with legal limitations on medical product companies. The review process does not consider any past or future business relationship with the applicant, ensuring decisions are based solely on merit and alignment with B. Braun’s philanthropic mission. The Charitable Donations program does not publish fixed deadlines or funding amounts and appears to operate on a rolling basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to reach out to the designated email address, GrantRequests@bbraunusa.com, for questions or further clarification. The program offers a mechanism for nonprofit organizations to partner with a health-centered corporate donor in addressing some of the most pressing issues facing local communities.
