A4 Arts Fund 2025
This funding opportunity provides financial support and collaborative resources to small arts and culture organizations serving Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, helping them enhance their impact and sustainability.
The Asian American Arts Alliance (A4), with support from The Wallace Foundation and in partnership with the National Arts Regranting Partners, is offering the A4 Arts Fund, a national grant opportunity focused on enhancing equitable grantmaking in the creative sector. This initiative supports under-resourced arts and culture organizations that serve Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, offering both financial assistance and a collaborative cohort-based experience. The A4 Arts Fund will distribute $500,000 through twenty $25,000 grants over a one-year period beginning in September 2025. These grants provide general operating support and are specifically for organizations with an annual operating budget of under $500,000. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, fiscally sponsored organizations, for-profit entities centered on arts or culture (e.g., LLCs, S Corps), and artist collectives with a tax ID or a fiscal sponsor. Beyond funding, grantee organizations will participate in a national virtual cohort for collaboration and shared learning. The cohort includes three networking sessions and personalized check-ins with A4 staff, designed to foster community, knowledge exchange, and peer support across the country. Applications must be submitted online via Jotform by July 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The application requires basic organizational details, recent operating budgets, responses to four narrative questions, and optional supporting materials such as testimonials, reports, or short videos. A virtual informational session will be held on June 5, 2025, and a captioned version will be posted online by June 20, 2025. Applications will be evaluated based on leadership representation, understanding of community needs, impact on AAPI communities, and how the grant will support ongoing work. The results will be announced by August 25, 2025. The final report from recipients is due in September 2026. For questions or help with the application, contact Michelle Bae at mbae@aaartsalliance.org or (212) 941-9208. Assistance is only available in English.
