The Whitehorse Foundation

The Seattle Foundation offers a range of competitive grant opportunities throughout the year to support community-based organizations primarily located in the Greater Seattle region. These grants are designed to promote equity, health, and wellbeing through focused investments in community-driven programs. Current grant opportunities include the Medical Funds 2025 Grant, the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) initiative, and the Whitehorse Foundation grants, each targeting specific regional and thematic areas. The Whitehorse Foundation is another funding avenue under the Seattle Foundation umbrella, providing grants to nonprofit organizations serving Snohomish County. Its mission is to improve quality of life for children, youth, and families. Funding priorities include programs that address early risk factors, provide accessible services, support family and youth self-sufficiency, and foster cross-sector collaborations. Applications follow a two-step process: first, submission of a concise two-page letter of inquiry, reviewed quarterly, and then, if selected, an invitation to submit a full application.
