Grant Description

The Community Grant Program, facilitated by the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) in collaboration with NTCA members, aims to support and enhance the quality of life in rural America. This initiative offers financial assistance for local projects that contribute to rural community development, education, business and economic development, and telecommunications applications. Grant applications are open each spring, with awards ranging from $250 to $5,000, announced every November. Priority is given to projects that can be fully or significantly funded by the grant, have a long-term impact, foster community participation, and lead to a more sustainable rural community. Eligible organizations include nonprofits, public bodies, and various first responder agencies within the Commonwealth of Virginia, focusing on initiatives that can be fully realized with a grant or have substantial funding in place. Grant renewed every year.
