The Cultural Coalition of Washington County (CCWC) offers the Community Cultural Participation (CCP) Grant Program to support arts, culture, and humanities in Washington County, Oregon. As the re-granting board of the Oregon Cultural Trust in Washington County, the CCWC aligns its mission with promoting the cultural identity, quality of life, and economic vitality of the county through its arts, heritage, and humanities organizations. This program aims to provide financial support to Washington County nonprofit arts, heritage, and humanities organizations and activities, ensuring a thriving cultural landscape for its residents.
The CCP Grant Program targets a broad range of beneficiaries, including not-for-profit art, humanities, or heritage organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies with a cultural mission. It also extends to social service agencies or religious organizations when they partner with a nonprofit cultural organization for a joint project. The impact goals are centered around building community, increasing capacity and professional development for cultural organizations, fostering more impactful and accessible public art and performance opportunities, supporting diverse cultural and heritage activities, and increasing access to arts education for youth and life-long learners.
The program prioritizes activities that address one or more of five key goals: Public Awareness and Participation, Support Cultural Organizations, Increase Public Art and Performance Opportunities, Support Diverse Cultural and Heritage Activities, and Increasing Access to Arts Education. Additionally, strong applications will demonstrate how the grant promotes cultural diversity, develops community and/or cross-cultural partnerships, provides matching-fund or cost-sharing opportunities, promotes cultural tourism, and presents events open to the public. These priorities reflect the CCWC's strategic approach to fostering a vibrant and inclusive cultural community.
Expected outcomes and measurable results include increased community engagement, enhanced organizational capacity, more accessible cultural experiences, greater participation in diverse cultural activities, and expanded arts education for youth. The CCWCโs theory of change posits that by strategically investing in these areas, they can significantly contribute to the cultural, social, and economic well-being of Washington County. Applicants are required to provide an itemized budget showing revenue and expenditures for the proposed activity, with revenue and expenses balancing, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility and clear project planning.
