100WomenStrong Grant
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and government entities in Loudoun County, Virginia, to enhance services in areas such as shelter, health, hunger, and education for local residents.
The 100WomenStrong grant program is now accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its 2026 grant cycle, with the submission window open from September 8 through October 3, 2025. This Loudoun County, Virginia-based initiative, administered in partnership with the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, seeks to support nonprofit organizations and government entities delivering impactful services aligned with key community needs. Priority focus areas include shelter, health and mental health, hunger, and education. 100WomenStrong grants are designed to strengthen organizations by supporting general operations, specific projects, or programmatic activities within a 12-month period, spanning from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027. The grantmaking process is highly competitive, with an emphasis on supporting programs that demonstrate clear benefits for Loudoun County residents, operational readiness, creative solutions to community issues, and strong collaborative potential. Priority is given to applicants who can demonstrate measurable community impact and a proven track record of service delivery in Loudoun or existing partnerships with local providers if new to the area. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charities or units of government in good standing with the IRS for at least two years prior to applying. Organizations must not proselytize, re-grant funds to other institutions, or propose projects related to private tuition or religious requirements. First-time or previously unfunded applicants are encouraged to limit funding requests to $5,000 or less. Grants may be used for general operating support or program-specific activities. The grant application process begins with an LOI submitted via the online portal hosted by the Community Foundation. A pre-LOI workshop will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2 p.m., and interested applicants can register online. The workshop will also be recorded and shared. After LOI review, selected organizations will be invited to submit a full grant application by January 23, 2026. Grant recipients will be notified no later than April 24, 2026, and will be invited to a donor reception in May 2026. All awarded funds must be spent within the grant period. Grantees are required to submit a final report approximately one year after funding, detailing outputs, outcomes, and expenditures. Extensions may be granted with written approval. For general inquiries, applicants can contact Pam Ray, Executive Director of 100WomenStrong, at pam@onehundredwomenstrong.org.
