Delano Area Community Foundation Grant

The Delano Area Community Foundation, a Partner Fund of the Initiative Foundation, was revitalized in 2014 with the goal of developing a lasting source of capital to support the needs and aspirations of the Delano area. Governed by an advisory team of local volunteers, the foundation focuses on strengthening the community through strategic philanthropic investment. It is professionally managed and stewarded by the Initiative Foundation to ensure long-term impact and sustainability. The foundation accepts grant applications annually for projects that benefit the Delano area community. Eligible projects must focus on one or more of the foundation’s four funding priorities: improving the quality and scope of educational programming; promoting community development and appearance; enriching the artistic and cultural climate; and increasing and diversifying recreational activities. All proposals must serve residents who live and/or work in the Delano area and must clearly demonstrate alignment with one or more of these core focus areas. Grant funding is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, units of government, or public school districts. All applicants must serve the Delano area community and have projects that align with the fund’s stated priorities. Applications are only accepted during the annual fall cycle, which opens on September 1 and closes on October 31.
