Grant Description

The Nonprofit Growth Grants program is administered by Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) with the aim of strengthening nonprofit organizations that serve Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Through key partnerships with organizations like The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University, the Catalyst Center for Nonprofit Management, and the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), FCP provides targeted funding to enhance both organizational capacity and professional development within the nonprofit sector. These grants reflect FCP’s long-standing commitment to building resilient, mission-driven organizations equipped to address community needs effectively. Grant funding is available for a broad range of organizational development initiatives. Eligible projects include board training, executive coaching, customized leadership development, financial planning, and strategic or succession planning. These capacity-building opportunities are tailored to help nonprofits strengthen their infrastructure and long-term sustainability. The grant can cover up to 90% of the proposed project cost, making it accessible for organizations of various sizes and resource levels. In addition to organizational development, the grant supports professional development pathways for nonprofit staff. Opportunities include tuition assistance for programs such as the Certificate in Nonprofit Management and the Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership at La Salle University, and the Master of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership at Delaware Valley University. To qualify for tuition assistance for the master’s degree programs, applicants must have received a previous grant from FCP within the past five years. Certain coursework requirements, such as enrollment in the "Non-Profit Policy, Governance & Practice" elective, may also apply. FCP is open to funding other certificate programs, such as those in inclusive leadership, provided they are offered by an accredited institution. For reimbursement, approved master’s degree candidates will receive one-third of the total tuition cost upon submission of a final grade of B or higher. Certificate candidates may be reimbursed for half of the total tuition cost, depending on the completion of specific program milestones such as a series of courses or the full curriculum. In both cases, the remaining tuition cost is shared by the sponsoring nonprofit and the individual participant. Applications are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis. The submission process begins with a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). If the LOI is approved, FCP may schedule a pre-grant meeting before granting access to the full application. Only complete applications submitted by the designated deadline are considered; late or incomplete submissions are not accepted. Applicants are encouraged to consult resources from the Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia and the Council on Foundations to strengthen their proposals. New applicants must create an account on the FOUNDANT platform to access the application system. For any technical assistance with account setup or during the application process, applicants may contact FCP by email at [email protected] or by phone at (267) 247-5584.
