Grant Description

Women to Women (W2W), based in Guilford County, North Carolina, is accepting Letters of Interest (LOIs) for its 2025 grant cycle to support strategic investments in programs that empower women and children to build healthy families and vibrant communities. Over the past 15 years, W2W has awarded more than $1.9 million to 68 programs. The foundation seeks to fund proactive and preventive initiatives aligned with its core mission, targeting systemic barriers faced by economically disadvantaged women and children. The 2025 grant cycle will fund one-year programs with typical award amounts ranging between $10,000 and $50,000. In rare cases, larger or multi-year grants may be considered. W2W funds specific programs, not general operating expenses, and applications must focus exclusively on Guilford County, North Carolina. Funding priorities include promoting self-sufficiency through access to housing and transportation, improving access to healthcare and healthy lifestyles, expanding educational and workforce opportunities, and ensuring food security and proper nutrition for women and children. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations and spend no more than 5% of their budgets on legislative activities. Organizations with a religious affiliation should explain how religious beliefs are integrated into the proposed project. W2W does not fund individuals, political action organizations, or endowment funds. Agencies are encouraged to submit only one application per grant cycle, and while prior funding from W2W does not disqualify an organization, the foundation prioritizes spreading support throughout the community. The grant process begins with the LOI submission, which is accepted between April 1 and April 30, 2025. Selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals beginning June 1, 2025, with a deadline of July 15, 2025. Site visits for finalist organizations will take place from July through September. Funding decisions and award notifications will be issued in October 2025, with disbursement of funds in November. Grantees will be recognized at a celebration gala in March 2026, and final grant reports will be due in October 2026. For technical assistance or questions, organizations can contact Women to Women through the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro at 336-379-9100 or visit their office at 301 N. Elm Street, Suite 100, Greensboro, NC 27401.
