Grant Description

The Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Grant is an initiative of the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office designed to foster inclusive, community-led celebrations that enrich civic life and showcase cultural diversity. In its 14th year, the program continues to support the city’s vision of creating shared spaces where residents come together through meaningful cultural experiences. By the end of 2025, the program will have funded 177 community events—demonstrating its ongoing role in promoting neighborhood connection and cultural engagement. For the 2026 funding cycle, a total of $300,000 will be distributed to support events taking place within Salt Lake City limits. Individual grant awards range from $500 to $10,000, and can be used for various types of cultural programming, educational activities, festivals, and neighborhood gatherings. Events must directly align with the City’s goals and contribute to a more vibrant and inclusive urban environment. The application window for the 2026 cycle opened on October 1, 2025, and will close at 11:59 p.m. on November 1, 2025. Applications must be submitted through the city’s grant portal, which can be accessed via slc.gov/mayor/ace-fund. Recipients will be notified in late December 2025. Eligibility is limited to events located within Salt Lake City boundaries. The grant is open to a wide range of community stakeholders who organize programming that aligns with the city’s cultural and civic vision. This includes individual organizers, nonprofits, and community groups. All funded activities must occur within the calendar year 2026. Applicants may attend one of two in-person information sessions scheduled in October 2025 to learn more about the grant process. These sessions will be held on October 8 at the Day-Riverside Library and on October 23 at the Main Library. Interested applicants may contact Katie Schnell, the City’s ACE Grant Coordinator, at ACE@slc.gov for more information. Additional details, eligibility requirements, and submission guidelines are available at the program website.
