The City of Elginโs Cultural Arts Commission is offering the Organizational Grant for 2025 to support arts programming within the Elgin community. This grant is designed to fund specific projects, programs, and events that bring arts experiences to local residents. Applicants must be Illinois-based nonprofit organizations registered as 501(c)(3) entities.
Eligible applicants are those who do not currently receive direct funding from the City of Elgin. The grant does not cover general operating expenses but focuses on funding distinct arts initiatives that benefit the community. The maximum award amount is $8,500.
Projects that involve permanent property improvements, capital equipment purchases, or construction are not eligible for funding. Additionally, grants will not be awarded for operating costs, scholarships, educational programs in schools, political activities, or hobby and recreational projects.
Applicants should also note that groups receiving direct payments or in-kind agreements from the City Council are excluded from this opportunity. Projects previously funded by the City of Elgin or its Cultural Arts Commission cannot receive additional funding under this grant.
This grant provides an opportunity for eligible nonprofits to enhance their arts offerings specifically tailored to Elgin residents. Interested organizations should prepare proposals focused on new or ongoing arts projects that engage the community and align with the program guidelines.
The application deadline is October 3, 2024. For more details and application instructions, visit the City of Elginโs official website. This grant supports creative efforts aimed at enriching Elginโs cultural landscape through targeted arts programming.
