WISE Women of Blair County Grant Program

The WISE Women of Blair County, in collaboration with the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation (CPCF), is offering grants to local non-profit organizations. These grants aim to support initiatives that align with the mission of empowering women and fostering acceptance and inclusion through collaboration, service, and education. The funding opportunities are designed to advance these core principles within Blair County. The grant program targets projects and services specifically within Blair County, focusing on the empowerment of women and the encouragement of acceptance and inclusion. Priority is given to projects that clearly advance the WISE Women mission, demonstrate potential for long-term impact, are planned in response to overall community needs, avoid duplicating existing services, and serve those inadequately reached by current community resources. Eligible applicants are tax-exempt charitable organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or public charities with a 50 percent deductibility limitation, requiring documentation of their status. Organizations must have been operating for a minimum of two years, and their past performance with WISE Women grants will be a factor in new requests. Grants are typically for one year, but organizations can reapply annually, even if they are current recipients. The grant committee prioritizes requests that seek partial funding for a project, showing a commitment to securing diverse funding sources, and encourages matching grants to attract additional financial support. If personnel costs are requested, a clear explanation of how the personnel are specific to the project is required. While grants are not made for sectarian purposes, they may support projects serving individuals regardless of their faith or creed, ensuring broad and inclusive community impact.
