Career Pathways Training Grant
This funding initiative provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that offer free training programs for adults seeking high-wage careers in fields like manufacturing, building trades, and welding, while ensuring a clear path to employment.
The Teshinsky Family Foundation's Career Pathways Training Grant is a targeted funding initiative designed to support direct service training programs that provide post-secondary pathways into sustainable, high-wage careers. The Foundation is committed to equipping individuals with the skills needed to achieve personal liberty and success, especially through alternatives to traditional secondary education. This grant initiative reflects the Foundation’s dedication to disrupting conventional educational models and fostering new career opportunities. The grant specifically funds programs offering direct training at no cost to participants, aligned with real-world employment opportunities. Essential program elements include a clear employment pipeline leading to sustainable and growth-oriented careers, along with support services to help overcome common barriers to employment. The Foundation emphasizes that successful applicants must already have job placement data from at least one year of training operations. Career training areas eligible for funding include manufacturing (such as CNC, CAD/CAM, composites, mechatronics, robotics), building trades (including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting), and welding (including MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux). Additional high-demand, high-wage career training programs may also be considered, including those for service technicians in manufacturing support roles. Grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 will be awarded on a one-time basis to qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations. These funds may be used for training or equipment. Priority is given to applicants demonstrating potential to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, or growth. To initiate the application process, organizations must submit an Inquiry Form by June 23, 2025. Only those invited following this inquiry will be permitted to submit a full application. Full applications are due by September 1, 2025, with award notifications expected on November 24, 2025. Finalist organizations may undergo virtual or in-person site visits in October or November 2025. Eligibility is strictly limited to 501(c)(3) organizations operating in the continental U.S. and serving participants aged 18 and older. Programs must be inclusive, provide on-site direct training, and cannot subcontract core training services. Ineligible applicants include individuals, for-profits, intermediaries, community college foundations, and organizations engaging in discriminatory practices or sectarian religious activities not meeting community-wide standards. Applicants are directed not to contact the Foundation by phone or email during the inquiry phase. Instead, all relevant information and forms are available on the Foundation’s website at www.teshinsky.org. A detailed review process will determine which organizations are invited to apply, and these decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
